         Southekayi Thirulu/Inner part of tender cucumber seeds Gojju

Cucumber seeds are edible if tender and try preparing Southekayi Thirulu/Inner part of tender cucumber seeds Gojju in minutes.

Health Benefits:

Fresh cucumber seeds are a source of Vitamin C, Vitamin k and potassium.

Cucumber is good for people who are dieting as it is low in calories. 

It has  a cleansing action within the body by removing accumulated pockets of old waste material and chemical toxins.

Cucumber is good to reduce heat and inflammation.

Southekayi Thirulu/Tender Seeds of cucumber: 1 cut into small pieces
Methi Seeds: 1 tsp
Curry Leaves: 1 Strand
Tamarind juice: 1 tbsp
Grated Jaggery: 1 tbsp
Red Chillies: 1
Red chilly powder / Gojju Powder: 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil: 1 tsp
Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
Water: 1 cup

1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard  seeds wait until it crackles. Then add methi seeds and fry until golden brown. 

2. Add chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida one after another. 

3. Add cut pieces of southekayi seeds and fry for a while, till it turns soft. 

4. Add Tamarind juice, chilly powder/gojju powder, water and jaggery. Finally add salt. Bring it to boil and keep aside to cool.

Southekayi Thirulu Gojju is ready to serve with rice.
