We have already posted Ridge Gourd/Heerekayi Palya - Easy Version, now this is Ridge gourd with Capsicum Sabzi/Palya which goes well with Chapati.
Ridge Gourd: 2 nos. chopped finely
Capsicum: 1 chopped finely
Tomato: 1 chopped finely
Sambar Powder: 1 - 1/2 tbsp
Grated Coconut: 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds: 1 tsp
Urad dal: 1 tsp
Curry Leaves: 1 Strand
Turmeric: 1 tsp
Oil: 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Putani/Roasted Bengal Gram Powder: 1 tbsp
1. Heat oil in the frying pan, add mustard seeds when it starts
spluttering add urad dal, curry leaves and turmeric. Fry well till urad
dal turns golden.
2. Add ridge gourd pieces, capsicum, tomato and mix well. Pour in little water, close the lid,cook till ridge gourd turns soft.
3. Add Grated coconut, Sambar powder, Putani/Fried Bengal Gram powder and Salt. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve Chapati with Ridge Gourd Capsicum Sabzi.
