except here we use onions and tomatoes, so khichdi gives a different taste than Huggi/Khara Pongal.
1. Crush Pepper and Jeera roughly till pepper breaks down into 2 pieces.
Heat ghee in pressure pan, add mustard seeds , when it starts
spluttering add chopped onions, tomatoes, curry leaves, pepper jeera crushed powder,
turmeric, cashews, green chillies and fry for a minute.
3. Add washed rice, moong dal, water, salt and grated coconut. Mix well.
4. Close the pressure cooker and cook till done.
Your Rice Khichdi is ready in minutes. Serve hot.....
