         Rasam Powder

Rasam is a most referred dish of a South Indian meal, without Rasam the meal will be incomplete. To prepare Rasam a spice powder is required which can stored for a long time. 


Byadagi chillies - 1/4kg (also gives good red color) 
Guntur Chillies - 200 gms
Coriander seeds - 3/4th kg
Fenugreek seeds - 50 gms
Cumin seeds - 100 gms
Peppercorns - 25 gms
Mustard seeds - 25 gms
Turmeric powder - 1 tspn
Hing (asafoetida) - 1/2 tspn
Curry leaves - 7-8 strands.

1. Fry all the ingredients with 1 teaspoon of oil separately except turmeric and asafoetida (hing).
2. Grind it to a fine powder. 

3. Store in airtight jar.
