Gasagase Thambuli is very tasty, easy to prepare and goes well with rice. All you need is poppy seeds,ginger and red chillies. Gasagase/Poppy Seeds have a good cooling effect on the body.
Servings: 4 -5 people
Gasagase/Poopy Seeds: 1 small cup
Ginger: 3/4 "
Red chillies: 2 big ones
Tamarind juice: 1/4 tsp
Haldi/Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
Curds - 1 cup
Salt: 1 tsp
1. Fry poppy seeds till you get good aroma. Some people prepare this dish without frying the seeds. I would suggest you to fry poppy seeds.
2. Grind poppy seeds with rest of the ingredients to a fine paste.
3. After that transfer it to a bowl and boil for 5 - 8 mins.
4. On cooling add curds and serve with rice.
