         Sihi Kumbalakayi Thirulu Raita/Inner part of sweet pumpkin raita

No need to waste thirulu or inner part of the sweet pumpkin, you can prepare tasty raita out of it in minutes. Serve this with rice or chapati or roti. Got this recipe from my co-sister Kavitha Prasad.

Here goes the recipe of this ...

sweet pumpkin thirulu raita


Sihi Kumbalakayi Thirulu/Inner part of Sweet pumpkin - 3 tbsp

Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp

Green chillies - 1

Corinader leaves - 1 tbsp

Curds - 1/4 cup

Salt to taste


1. Cook Inner part of sweet pumpkin or thirulu in microwave for 2 mins.

2. Grind cooked thirulu, coconut, green chillies and corinader leaves to a fine paste.

3. Add this paste to curds and mix well.

4. Prepare seasoning with mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves, mix well with the curds.

Serve with Chapati or hot rice.
