Shunti Chutney/Ginger Chutney is an awesome dip that goes well with dosa, roti and chapati.
Nutrition and Benefits of ginger: Ginger reduces all symptoms associated
with motion sickness including dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and cold
sweating. People with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis experience
reductions in their pain levels and improvements in their mobility when
they consume ginger regularly.
Bengal Gram - 1 tbsp
Urad dal - 1 tbsp
Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp
Ginger - 6/8 pieces of 1/2 "
Tamarind juice - 1 tsp
Jaggery - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Red chillies - 3 nos.
1. Fry Bengal Gram and Urad dal seperately with 1/2 tsp oil till it turns golden brown.
2. Fry red chillies and ginger with 1/4 tsp oil.
3. Put grated coconut, tamarind juice, jaggery, salt and asafoetida to the fried ingredients. Grind this to a fine paste.
4. Prepare the seasoning/oggarane to the above paste and your ginger chutney is ready to serve with dosa or roti.
