         Cumin water/Jeera Water/Jeerige Kashaya

Cumin seed also known as Jeera, is one of the important spice in Indian cooking. Jeera Kashaya gives relief from stomach aches, reduces acidity. You also get rid of many symptoms associated with acidity such as nausea and vomiting. Improves digestion and helps to reduce abdominal gas. Jeera Kashaya always comes to rescue whenever we eat on festival days...

jeera water


Drinking water - 2 cups
Cumin seeds - 1 tablespoon


1) In a clean sauce pan, heat 2 cups of drinking water. 
2) When it starts boiling, add the cumin seeds.
3) Allow the water to boil. Let it boil till the volume reduces to 1 cup; filter it.
4) Drink warm jeera water twice a day.
